The Seam X Alexandra Brinck present: Knit repair at the Betsey

Join us at The Betsey for a one-day knit repair extravaganza! Whether you're looking to salvage your own knits or take the first steps towards paid mending work, this workshop is perfect for you.

The day will consist of two workshop sessions (morning & afternoon), where you'll learn the main techniques used in invisible knit repair. Additionally, there will be a 'repair clinic' where you can get mending advice, ask about techniques, tools, and materials, and work on your own repair projects with like-minded people. The workshops will take place in a private room, with a DJ adding to the afternoon's fun. Later, we'll relocate to the main bar area of The Betsey for the repair clinic.

Rest assured, we'll keep you fuelled with provided lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Upon joining, you'll receive a toolkit containing everything needed for the workshops. We'll also have a pop-up shop with additional mending supplies, featuring the wonderful Ministry of Mending - a rare opportunity to explore their lovely wares in person!

If you have items you wish to have professionally repaired by The Seam (garments, shoes, bags), you can conveniently drop them off during the workshop. As a workshop attendee, you'll receive a 10% discount for our repair services, available for use either on the day or at a later date.

This workshop is most suitable for those with some knitting experience – but there is no need to be a pro!

Please note that the workshop sessions will take place on the first floor, accessible via a staircase.

Don't miss this chance to enhance your knit repair skills and have a great time with fellow enthusiasts!

See you there!
